Well I don't like to name drop but ok if you twist my arm.... it was Nate Berkus from The Oprah Winfrey Show!
Here is what the Times Union had to say ....
Troy's reputation as an antique center drew "The Oprah Winfrey Show's" Nate Berkus for a shopping visit Friday.
Berkus, a feature design expert on the show, and a film crew stopped by The Living Room on River Street and the Antiques Warehouse on Fourth Street.
"He's designing a house for an underprivileged family in Schenectady," said Elizabeth Young, owner of The Living Room, who gleaned the information during Berkus' stop at her store. The footage is supposed to air on a future episode of the Oprah show.
At the Antiques Warehouse, Berkus purchased two oval Victorian frames and a blanket box to be used as a coffee table, said Christine Young, the shop owner and mother of Elizabeth.
Christine pulled out the credit card slip from the purchases. The card was from Winfrey's Harpo Productions.
Oprah's film crew caught the Youngs dressed for Halloween. Christine was made up as Auntie Sam, while Elizabeth was costumed as a geisha.
