Living Room and Antiek announce the opening of The Antiques Warehouse, located at #78 4th Street, in Downtown Troy, New York. The Warehouse has 11,000 sq. ft. packed full of period antique furnishings, a huge collection of rugs, lighting, art and accessories. Elizabeth Young, in concert with her parents, the antique giants Christine and Norman Young, opened her unique retail shop in July of 2006. The shop has been well received in the growing Troy antique district and the group is now proud to announce the opening of their latest venture, the 11,000 sq. ft. Living Room is a full service interior decoration and design center, chuck-a-block full of
fine antique and retro-fabulous furniture, fabrics, lighting and interior decorations. We have
an urban aesthetic and love an eclectic mix of old and new. Stop on by to shop, to browse, to chat
with us - or just to get inspired.
Here is the short list of the services we offer:

Elizabeth will come to your home and help you simply rearrange or completely redecorate a room or the entire house. An interior decorator with – as she puts it - 30 years of experience (there has to be some perk to growing up literally inside of an antique shop!) and a degree from the University of Maryland in design, Elizabeth has an eye for color and a respect for both old and new. Her goal is to make each clients space an individual statement that is livable, comfortable, meaningful and above all, fabulous.
A design consultation at your home with Elizabeth starts at $100 for an hour long session. Depending on your goals for the session, this hour might encompass flipping through color charts and images to gain a hold of your style preferences, walking through your home and listing to Elizabeth’s ideas and suggestions for improvements or even rearranging the living room with what you already have (she is strong and proud of it!). If more in depth design work is needed after the initial consultation, Elizabeth will provide the client a detailed room-by-room proposal and get to work on design boards with color, fabric and furniture selections based on a discussed budget.
Living room is open Wednesday - Saturday 11:00am-5:00pm and Sunday 12:00pm - 4:00pm. We are open until 9:00pm during Troy Night Out on the last Friday of every month! Living room is closed on major holidays like Christmas, New Years Day, The 4th of July…all the biggies.
